What you get when we design your website...

It's not just about the great website we'll make for you... we also pay attention to the details. You don't have to understand all the geeky aspects of what goes into a website development project, but we want you to know we're covering all the bases.

We love what we do, and nothing makes us happier than seeing you succeed because your website is doing its job.

  • Original Results - there's lots of templates and cookie cutter options out there, but you don't want your website to look like that. Be unique.
  • Local Support - you'll never have to interpret broken english from "John" with questions about your services with us. You can even stop in if you prefer.
  • Page Titles - we'll make sure your website's page titles are search engine and visitor friendly.
  • Accessibility - we'll include "alt" tags for images (alternate text to display if the image is unavailable for whatever reason) and "title" tags for links (helps with screen readers for disabled visitors and along with the alt tags helps with search engines.)
  • Spelling - weal mak shur yor tects iz reedable and tiipo phree.
  • Optimized Images - images that are too large will slow down (and annoy) your visitors. We'll optimize for best possible file size to try to keep things speedy.
  • Custom Error Pages - no boring "404 not found" pages! We'll create a custom page for each of the five most common website/browser errors.
  • Meta tags - we can work from your provided list of keywords, or we'll use the page's content to create two pieces of code targeted at search engines. One is a list of keywords and the other is a basic description of the page.
  • Favicon - it's that little icon next to your bookmarks or favorites when you save a page, or to the left of the address of the website you're viewing in your browser.
  • Code Validation - HTML may not have self esteem, but we'll validate it anyway to help make sure your pages will function at their best. (We use the tool provided by the organization started by the same guy that invented the Web.)
  • Link Verification - we'll make sure that your page's links are all working as expected.
  • Robots.txt - it's a search engine thing, a file that sits next to your website and helps search engine software find it's way around.
  • Sitemap - an XML file that tag teams with the robots file to make search engines happy.
  • Screen Size Testing - we'll check the common screen sizes (usually 800x600 and 1024x768 at the moment) to make sure your website looks good on various sized screens.
  • Browser Testing - we'll check your website in the most popular browers (usually Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Opera.) Sometimes one or more browsers will have a bug that affects how a website looks or functions, and we always do our best to nip that in the bud.
  • Search Engine Registration - nowadays you almost don't really need to do this, but we'll make sure your website is in the database of at least Google. Typically, the search engines will find your website over time. You can confirm it by using your website's domain name as a keyword in any given engine.
  • Spam Filtering - basic server level spam filtering is available on all of our hosting plans. We'll turn that on, unless you decide you really do want to read about Viagra.

The process:

1. Request a free quote

If you already know the specifics of what you want, just let us know. Or, we can go through a "needs analysis" with you to help you determine what your website needs. In either case, you can start with the free quote request form. We'll either get back to you right away with any questions, or will get a project proposal to you within a few days.

2. Sign contract & pay deposit

The project proposal can be revised if necessary, and once it looks good just sign it and return it. At this time we will also sign the project contract and ask for the 25% deposit. Once all the paperwork has been signed and we've received the deposit, we'll begin work on your project's initial draft.

3. Review a rough draft

Once we've got a draft complete, we will send you a link to where you can view the draft online in your web browser. The purpose of the draft is to allow for feedback and needed changes, so don't worry about hurting our feelings - tell us what you think! Once you're happy with the draft, we will give you a draft sign-off form to sign and return.

4. Website is developed

The communication over the draft will allow us to develop the website in it's entirety. Any admin systems or custom scripting will wait for a finalized draft to be accepted.

5. Final website review

Once the website has taken shape, we'll ask that you review it. When everything looks good, we'll give you a project sign-off form to sign and return. We will also submit the final invoice for the project at this time.

6. Launch finished website

After final payment is received, the new website will be launched. If you've agreed to let us send out a press release, we will do so at this time. Your website may also end up in our portfolio, and be mentioned in our monthly newsletter.

What's next?

Even though the design project is done, a good website is never truly finished. There are always updates and improvements that can be made. Call or email us anytime you have a question about your website, or something you'd like to change. We'll also stay in touch to let you know about any changes in technology that might affect your website, or new opportunities we think might benefit you.

We look forward to working with you!
