About Web Maestro, LLC

The U.P. Web Maestro is the original foundation for what is now Web Maestro. After graduating from Northern Michigan University in 2001, Nathan Lyle turned what had been a freelance means of paying for tuition into a formal business. Nathan had been involved with computers and music since childhood, so "Maestro" was an appropriate name on which to build.

Though initially operating out of his home in Ishpeming, in 2006 Nathan joined forces with Greta Berg of Company B Graphics and moved into an office suite in Marquette, a short drive from beautiful Lake Superior. The two businesses were a perfect compliment to each other, allowing customers to get all of their visual marketing needs taken care of under one roof. Not much more than a year later, more space was needed, and a move was made to a new location across town.

In January of 2008, Kenric Feldpausch joined the team and brought some new design kungfu into the mix. During the end of 2009, Kenric and Nathan moved the office to Negaunee in order to share space with Nathan's wife's business, Tandem Dog Training. It was a "strategic retreat" in that the primary benefit was a consolidation of rental costs (which the economy of that time made extremely prudent.) Four months into 2010, after Nathan's wife took a full time job elsewhere, Nathan and Kenric moved the office back to Marquette, to a suite on Washington Street in the Masonic building. (While Negaunee was nice and all, it was good to get back to Marquette.)

It was at this time that Nathan began expanding the business to include multiple areas. Since his wife was then recently the new chief dog warden for Lucas County (Ohio) he chose Sylvania for the main Web Maestro location. Kenric is holding down the fort in Marquette (with Nathan popping into town for a week or so every month) and a new location is being considered in Jackson (Michigan).

Nathan Lyle

Owner & Managing Director

Nathan has been tinkering with computers since the days of the Apple II (and still has a working one in the office). Though born in Livonia, Nathan has lived in the U.P. since he was two (his first memory is breaking into the house because his parents forgot the key) and he wouldn't trade the snow for anything. When he's not in front of a computer or chasing one of his four kids around, he likes to write and perform music on any instrument he can get his hands on. His interests include reading and watching science fiction, books on theoretical physics and astronomy, and artificial intelligence.

Kenric Feldpausch

Lead Designer

Kenric graduated from NMU in 2009 with an Electronic Imaging degree from Northern Michigan University. Kenric enjoys art (both standard and digital) as well as reading all sorts of things: nerd magazines like Popular Science, books, and a lot of online reading. Originally from a small farming town in the rural Lower Peninsula, he's a solid convert to Marquette living. He enjoys garage sales, Saint Vincent's, and all the outdoor activities the area has to offer.

Community Involvement

The Web Maestro supports local music and the organizations that encourage it. In Marquette we have donated website development time to both the Marquette Area Blues Society that organizes the popular Marquette Blues Fest every summer, and the Hiawatha Music Co-op that has been making the Annual Hiawatha Festival happen for over 30 years! Both events provide a venue for local acts along with the imported bands, as well as workshops and chances to get involved.
